WCIB‘s Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme provides an exciting opportunity for our pupils to try new activities, cultivate new interests and develop skills and aptitudes which will help with their personal and academic development. These activities are run for pupils across year groups enabling our pupils to connect and make friends with children of different ages.
Co-curricular activities are optional for Years 1 and 2, and are compulsory for Year 3 onwards. The CCA programme is made up of three parts: prep sessions, enrichment and support, a combination designed to encourage academic progression, increase pastoral contact time and encourage pupils’ capabilities to a higher level.
Enrichment at Wellington comes in many forms, whether it is our sports and arts programmes, our commitment to cultural pursuits, and in clubs offered on a daily basis
The Arts are central to Wellington life. Every pupil participates in our dynamic arts programme, which seeks to inspire their creative imagination and to make the very most of their artistic talent and potential. WCIB aims to give every Wellingtonian lifelong enjoyment across drama, dance, music, creative writing, art and design.
Whether the interest is classical, rock, jazz, or pop, WCIB will provide an enormously diverse and impressive musical programme, with concerts and recitals throughout the academic year.
Sport is an integral part of each pupil’s development, wellbeing and education. It provides a platform to celebrate all that is unique about being a Wellingtonian. Of course, sport is not just about the physical aptitude – it develops the whole person.
